During this time of uncertainty we find ourselves in, we are faced with challenges and opportunities.  The Minister of Basic Education made an announcement that resources are available to learners (and parents) to reduce the impact on the 2020 school year.  Please follow the links for a list of resources for Governing Bodies, learners, parents and educators.

SA Government approved new communication requirements to fight the COVID-19 virus

In the midst of the COVID-19 tragedy, the spreading of fake news and misinformation regarding this tragedy have raised genuine concerns and often led to unnecessary panic. To reduce risks in this regard, Communications Minister Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams approved new requirements for South African ISPs and website owners. These requirements will support the government’s plan to fight the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus. In a government gazette [PDF Link] dated 26 March 2020, the Department of Communications completed interventions regarding the propagation of information in the country. One of these measurements determines that all internet sites operating within .za DNA top-level domain names must have a landing page with a visible link to
The purpose of the new directions is to facilitate the availability and use of digital technologies to combat the spread of COVID-19 in South Africa.
